David Bechkam had a dream. The David Beckham Academy is that dream!
The David Beckham Academy is the largest facility of its kind in Europe. It offers
state of the art equipment and facilities: 2 full size football pitches, classrooms,
workshops, dining hall, medical and physiotherapy center – all under one roof.

In Greenwich, London, by the River Thames, next to the O2 (formerly the Millennium
Dome).
Who is David Beckham
The Academy Staff
The Academy football training programme has been developed by David Beckham with
Eric Harrison, ex-Youth Team Coach at Manchester United who helped discover young
talents such as David Bechkam, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Gary and Phil Neville.
The coaches are supported by full medical and administrative staff. Ted Dale,
former Youth Team Coach at Chelsea Football Club is the Coaching Director and
is supported by Eric Harrison, who is the Coaching Consultant to the Academy.
Anglophiles staff is run by a team of professionals with many years of successful
experience of youth programmes in the UK and abroad. The Head Office is in London.
In all our language training centers we have experienced and dedicated organisers,
qualified youth leaders and English Language teachers.
The Football Training
The training includes all aspect of play: passing techniques, tackiling, dribbling,
heading, marking opponents, tactics and teamwork. There is specialised training
for strikers, midfielders and goalkeepers. Matches and mini tournaments are organised
by age and level. Sessions in the classroom are on the physiology of the body,
health and fitness, nutrition, the media and include The Academy game.
An Academy certificate and badge are presented to each participant. All Academy
coaches are fully FA qualified.
Football Kit
Every participant is provided with a complete »The David Beckham Academy« branded
adidas football kit including shirt, footwear, socks and sweatshirt worth 300
EUR.

»Soccer + English Language«
6 nights Residential + 7 nights English host family accommodation

This program includes 5 days, mornings and afternoons intensive soccer training
at the David Beckham Football Academy, based on 6 nights residential accommodation.
The remainder of the stay comprises an English language course of 15 hours tuition
at one of our centers outside London, based on host family accommodation. The
course is a practical exercise in improving students spoken English and listening
skills in real, everyday situations. The course is taught by qualified English
language teachers and includes afternoon cultural, sport and leisure activities..

Boys and girls from 11 to 16 years.
Meals
Full board is provided. Breakfast and dinner is provided at the students accommodation.
Lunch is provided at the Academy during football training, by host families (packed
lunches), during the English language course, or by Anglophiles during the »Discover
London« program.
